International Rally - September 1996

Weather was not the finest component of the International Rally held in September 1996

But take a large number of Maserati enthusiasts and their cars and an event organised by Hans and Heidi Wulfers who cares about the weather in any case!?

Ampus

One of the rally highlights was a run up the Ampus hill climb. Despite my engine problems, I still managed the second fastest time of the day so you might guess I enjoyed myself. I was too busy to take pictures of the hill climb but you may get an idea of the scae of this event from these shots of the car park taken over lunch.

Le Luc Circuit

Perhaps the highlight of the event (judging by the attitude of the drivers) was the visit to the race circuit at Le Luc.

People

More than anything, an event like this is made by the people who attend.
